NUTEC Group Expands Its Portfolio with the Acquisition of ETS Schaefer

NUTEC Group's growth strategy took another step forward on March 1, 2026, when NUTEC Fiber Division — one of the group's industrial business units — completed the acquisition of ETS Schaefer LLC, a Macedonia, Ohio-based leader in the design and application of monolithic ceramic fiber linings. The company, formerly owned by REAL ALLOY (Beachwood, OH), a leading North American aluminum recycling and alloy producer, will now operate as NUTEC ETS SCHAEFER, a wholly owned subsidiary of NUTEC.

ETS Schaefer brings a well-established reputation built on its Monster Modules™ system and its newer Monster Lock™ attachment technology, serving heavy-industry end users and OEMs with demanding high-temperature insulation needs. For Grupo NUTEC, the deal adds specialized capability to an already broad platform of industrial companies spanning thermal processing, insulation, and fire protection.

Strengthening NUTEC’s High-Temperature Insulation Capabilities

Gerardo Muraira, President of NUTEC Fiber Division, framed the acquisition as a direct extension of group strategy: "This acquisition aligns perfectly with NUTEC's strategy. In particular, it will strengthen our value-added ceramic fiber offerings and also help expand our technical and commercial capabilities in high-temperature insulation solutions."

Experienced Leadership for NUTEC ETS SCHAEFER

Brian Bradley, previously Business Manager of Engineered Systems at NUTEC Inc, steps into the role of General Manager for NUTEC ETS SCHAEFER, bringing more than 37 years of ceramic fiber industry experience to the new subsidiary. "I am confident that this acquisition will further enhance NUTEC's business and contribute positively to our continued growth," Muraira added.
